1-1 psychodynamic therapy, group therapy and EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing)
Karen is an individual and group therapist specialising in stress-related issues, depression, anxiety and relationship problems working both 1-1 and in groups. She also offers short-term EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing), which is especially useful if you have suffered trauma or struggle with a phobia or specific anxiety – e.g. exam/interview stress.
Additionally, Karen provides clinical supervision to a wide range of wellbeing and health professionals including psychotherapists, counsellors, doctors, hospital teams, school staff and executive coaches.
She is also director of Word of Mouth Ltd, a consultancy and training company which helps people improve their personal and inter-personal communication skills.
Karen began her work in NHS outpatient psychotherapy settings and has been supervisor and consultant to organisations such as Barnados, The Children’s Centre, Rape Crisis, Bereavement Care and other counselling/psychotherapy agencies.
More recently she helped to develop and and now run New View, a group programme designed to support survivors of cancer.
