Psychodynamic and Integrative Counsellor
Psychodynamic and Integrative Counsellor MBACP
Phillip is a qualified counsellor with over 10 years’ experience. He aims to provide a safe space for individuals, couples, and young people where anxieties and fears can be talked through, free from any sense of judgement. Every effort will be made to establish an open, honest, and trusting relationship with you. He will seek to understand your situation and will help you to explore the way you feel about yourself and your concerns as well as your hopes and desires.
The counselling relationship can help you to become aware of patterns in behaviour and relationships that have developed in your life and reveal how those past experiences may still affect you now. Working this through in therapy can give you a greater degree of choice in the way you live your life.
Phillip’s counselling is supervised regularly by an experienced and qualified practitioner. Supervision enables him to monitor his effectiveness and professional development.
Phillip has experience of working with individuals struggling with bereavement issues, depression, anxiety, addictions, and relationship difficulties. As a qualified children’s and young people’s counsellor he has worked in the counselling department of a sixth form college and more recently with children using an online platform.
Phillip has worked in African cultural settings offering relationship enrichment programmes to community leaders and also therapy to HIV/Aids patients.
