About Roger
Roger offers 1to1 therapy to children, adolescents and adults. He also offers couples therapy.

For over 20 years he has helped people with a wide range of issues including, loss, stress, depression/low mood, anxieties, OCD and obsessions, trauma, relationship difficulties, abuse, bullying, low self-esteem/confidence, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, work/school related stress and other problems that may be holding them back.

He works in a school part time so is very aware of the different stresses and strains that school life can bring to a pupil. He annually completes, and regularly updates, his child protection and safeguarding certification.

Additionally, Roger provides Clinical Supervision to anyone working in this field. He currently receives referrals from GP’s and other mental health professionals.

Experience
Roger began his work in the NHS in 1996. Since then he has worked in numerous healthcare settings and in educational establishments. He has many years of experience managing and supervising counsellors whilst being clinical manager for an Employee Assistance Programme.

He develops a relationship quickly and works hard to provide a safe environment for clients to explore their feelings and thoughts in a confidential setting.

He provides both short term solution focussed therapy and longer term therapy.

  • Diploma in Counselling – CSCT Ltd 1997
  • Introduction to Group Analysis – Institute of Group Analysis 1996/1997 Course.
  • Skills and Theory of Counselling Supervision Course – Pete Symonds, Winchester 2000/2001
  • Relate Children’s training 2004

Roger holds enhanced DBS.
