About Sarah

The relationship with every child is at the heart of Sarah’s work. She uses a range of art and play techniques such as puppetry, paint, sand and storytelling, to enable children to explore their feelings, thoughts and inner world. Some adolescents she has worked with have also enjoyed this creative style, while others have benefitted from talking therapy. Sarah has a warm and playful approach to working with children, supported by sound theoretical understanding.

Sarah has helped children with a wide range of issues including anxiety, stress, anger, low self-esteem and self-worth, low mood and depression, bereavement and loss, abuse, bullying, relationship difficulties, parent separation, and family illness.

Sarah is available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between the hours of 9am-5pm, from September 2023.

Experience

After many years of working in school settings, Sarah qualified as a child counsellor in 2020. Before moving to private practice Sarah worked as a child counsellor and counselling assessor for a mental health charity, and as a secondary school counsellor.
